A sample Sythesis paper from an ICT project

This project was very successful. For my overall work I would award myself 6 out of 6. Generally, I believe I took my knowledge, improved it, and adapted it to create a website. I think that I learned a lot in a short period of time and this effectively. In this project, I feel that I can take what I have learned and still remember it in 5 years time because it was so much fun and educative learning about!
Our investigation was based on themes such as historical monuments, music, food, clothing, superstitions, and celebrations. Researching into all these various aspects helps us to connect such topics to our daily lives. It also enables us to learn diverse things in multiple ways which we understand. I learnt tremendously much and this was very educative since we learnt it in a fun way; through Iearn.
The design stage helped me prepare for the create stage. The investigate stage played a major role in my layouts and organisation. Finally, I learnt that the organisation of a webpage affects whether your audience is going to carry on looking through your website or not. It is very important that a webpage is not laid out too squashed but is attractive.
I learnt that planning is essential and very crucial as you must take every and any factor into account- this is what I learnt during this stage. You can plan in diverse ways; using pictures/drawings, two-level sentence outlines, tables, and the list never ends・
Creating a website brought along many problems which I had to deal with, but in the end, it taught me a lot about myself, my abilities, my strengths, my weaknesses and most importantly how I can relate this project with something that I interact with on a daily basis.
This time our investigation took longer but was more effective. We had various methods of researching which helped me understand the necessity of investigation in a project. Also creating, taught me about the positive and negative aspects of web design and internet. Therefore I believe that my knowledge of the design cycle has generally improved my skills. In addition, my knowledge in the planning sector has improved positively along with my ability to evaluate as I had to evaluate other people痴 work as well and pick various ways of planning; enhancing my creativity.
During the design cycle itself, I felt a bit stressed out by the number of tasks we had to accomplish. However, as I got along, I recognised that the design cycle is like a puzzle. Doing one exercise opens the door to the next exercise. In other words, the investigate helped me design which helped me plan, and so on and so forth. After these tasks were all fulfilled I was relieved because I had finally finished the project. On the other hand, I felt very proud of myself since I was extremely time managing and successful in doing my project. I also realised the fact that it had not only taught me how to create a website, but the consequences of doing this. It was very educative!
First and foremost, I notice human ingenuity when looking into aspects such as how and why does the web change over time, why do humans create websites etc. Specifically, the last characteristic of the reasons of creations helps us understand why Human Ingenuity is so appropriate for this matter. Also, we create websites in order to create awareness and to give current news. In addition, the choices we have online all conclude on human ideas.
This topic was all about choosing a culture and creating a website for that specific culture. I chose German culture. This automatically affects the cultural strand as we discuss various aspects of ethnicity such as historical landmarks, clothing, food, superstitions, music and celebrations. Also during this project, we looked at other cultures from around the world through a programme called 的earn・ thus we became multi-cultural leaders of tomorrow・
I believe the design part of the cycle should be improved to become more fun. For example, in DT we do a product analysis which explores diverse designs and you have to mention what you like about that specific design and what you don稚 like. This helps your mind prepare the design. Also, I could improve my website in the aspects it failed in, in the peer-evaluation. These include having counters, a search box and having contact information. Unfortunately, this was not available on the program on which I created my site (weebly).
In conclusion, I believe that this project was already extremely successful. However, I believe that next years IT class could go on a field trip in Mombasa and examine it up close. This would let them have their own interpretation of Mombasa culture. Instead of creating a website, they could create a movie and share it on Iearn or even on the web. Those are just my suggestions, but they could be taken into account. I liked this project and would want to do it again any time.
